Maya Shino has got my vote for New Zealander of the Year 2012, in fact I hereby nominate her (if someone could follow up on how to formally nominate Ms Shino it would be good, I've got limited time and limited access to resources). Maya Shino, a former Palmerston North Girls High School student and is now a solicitor for Russell McVeigh, she won an AMP scholarship earlier this year to establish her website called LawSpot.org.nz.
Ms Shino said she worked closely with the Wellington Community Law Centre, who were supportive of the project.
This initiative is long overdue, Maya Shino has turned it into reality.
