When the sun came up today, 11 November 2011, the lives of many people were changed forever.

Less than 24 hours ago, Ceridwen Claire Allom was living, breathing, laughing, and riding her bike.  This morning her brother found her, hanging from a tree.

There will be more written here about this in the future, but now's not the time. For today, Ceri's pictures and her friend's songs can tell the story of a beautiful young woman, an original. My heart is with her family and friends today.



I remember the complete and utter desolation, devastation, when my brother died, how much I just wanted to fix it.  How hard it was to sleep, how you come to treasure those few, precious seconds every morning when you wake, before you remember, again.

Here's a little bedtime story, The Fisherman and his Soul, by Oscar Wilde, who wrote some of the most beautiful children's stories you've ever heard (and you probably have heard one or two of them.) Chapter 33 goes like this:

"And as he spake there came a great cry of mourning from the sea, even the cry that men hear when one of the Sea-folk is dead. And the young Fisherman leapt up, and left his wattled house, and ran down to the shore. And the black waves came hurrying to the shore, bearing with them a burden that was whiter than silver. White as the surf it was, and like a flower it tossed on the waves. And the surf took it from the waves, and the foam took it from the surf, and the shore received it, and lying at his feet the young Fisherman saw the body of the little Mermaid. Dead at his feet it was lying.

Weeping as one smitten with pain he flung himself down beside it, and he kissed the cold red of the mouth, and toyed with the wet amber of the hair. He flung himself down beside it on the sand, weeping as one trembling with joy, and in his brown arms he held it to his breast. Cold were the lips, yet he kissed them. Salt was the honey of the hair, yet he tasted it with a bitter joy. He kissed the closed eyelids, and the wild spray that lay upon their cups was less salt than his tears.

And to the dead thing he made confession. Into the shells of its ears he poured the harsh wine of his tale. He put the little hands round his neck, and with his fingers he touched the thin reed of the throat. Bitter, bitter was his joy, and full of strange gladness was his pain.

And that's how it feels to be left behind.   It's not pretty.  It hurts the people you leave behind, the ones you love the most, brothers, mothers, fathers, uncles and aunties, cousins, grandparents, great grandparents - it was so surreal, meeting Ceri's great grandparents - it hurts more than anything imaginable, and the terrible images of the discovery, and the utterly unbelievable reality, cannot ever be washed away from the memory.  Imagine finding your beautiful sister like that.

Death is forever, it's final, we know that much, and that's all we really know for sure.   You can't undo it, you can't fix it, you can't come back.  On the official form certifying the death someone has to identify the person.   When my brother died, it was my sister.   On the form it had the question "How long have you known the deceased? The answer, in little handwriting, "All my life."  The pain my sister and I feel, the pain Ceri's mum and dad and brothers, grandparents, great grandparents, all her friends feel, so strong it's almost overwhelming. She's gone where we can't find her now, where we can't fix her, no matter how much we love her.  Life is for living.  And it's so short anyway - just a tiny insignificant speck in the great scheme of things, but while it lasts it's magic, it's a wonderful gift from the Universe, it's Paradise, right here, please, please, please don't waste it.  Spend it having fun with your friends, or travelling the world, do what you love.  Don't do this to the ones you love.

We have an epidemic in this country.  Wairarapa has for several years had twice the national rate of self inflicted death, in a country with the highest rates in the world.  Every few weeks another family, and all the friends at all the schools, have to go though this.  More will be written about this matter in due course, and we must remember that there has been no formal decision regarding the cause of death of Ceridwen Claire Allom yet, and there may not be for some time.

At Ceri's funeral, her friend Zoe sang Elton John's Tiny Dancer for her friend, her fingers resting on the white wooden box with her friend inside.  Her voice sounding like a choir of angels, filling the room.  In memory of a little bird forever silenced now.  No words can describe the utter perfection of Zoe's singing, it still rings in my heart, or the complete and utter desolation in the hearts of her friends and family as we stood and sat in the little chapel, with the tears running down our faces, and listened to it fill up the silence and drown out the weeping.



The story of Ceridwen, the Goddess of White Words, Ceridwen's Cauldron of Divine Knowledge, Wisdom, Rebirth, and Inspiration, represents regeneration in the womb of the Goddess. According to the legend, the name of Ceridwen's Cauldron was Amen, and its transforming magic was said to happen through change, experience and divine inspiration.

Ceri's short life was so full of love and laughter, and she touched so many hearts.

The story of Ceridwen's Cauldron speaks of the Cauldron, a euphemism representing the womb, the Holy Grail, the source of Love. Her mummy bore her, and brought her into the world, and loved her more than anything.  It took six men to carry her outside into the sunshine yesterday.

Ceri was just fifteen years old when she died, she'll always be just fifteen years old.  That's just not right.

Too many of our young people are at risk.

The message being delivered locally to people at risk is "Talk to someone" - unfortunately the standard of the "someones" involved in the many local "community organisations" that we should be able to talk to are lacking in quality, integrity, common sense, empathy, and other vital qualities, and the sound of silence is deafening.

Mental health services are particularly lacking. There is a lot more information on this site about the causes and the factors contributing to the shocking death rates, but this is about just one of those, Ceridwen Allom's short, sweet, life.

I was a Boarding Matron at St Matthews Collegiate, where Ceridwen attended when she lived in Masterton. I was bullied out of the position after a year and a half or so by a certain clique, and observed other bullying and incompetence, etc, with concern, at this school and others. One of the people who deserves special commendation in this community is the Deputy Principal of St Matthews Collegiate, Julie Holdsworth.   I'll refrain from commenting on some of the other staff of St Matthews, or the Board of Trustees, but St Matthews is very fortunate indeed to have Julie Holdsworth. After the service for Ceri, in the chapel at the funeral directors, after all the purple balloons had drifted away, we went to St Matthews for a cup of tea.  The Principal and others had been at the service, but they weren't to be seen at the school afterwards, Julie Holdsworth greeted everyone and presided over the occasion in her usual impeccably (and naturally) graceful manner - we were a bit of a motley crew, and it was an extremely emotional time, but Julie Holdsworth has a gift for empathy, and healing, listening, facilitating growth, growing potential.  She's the sort of person Ceri might have grown up to be.

The sound of silence: Suicide in the Wairarapa, our national shame:

Children and teenagers make a lot of noise, when they're suddenly not there any more you notice the silence.  A lot.  

When your child suddenly passes away, or your brother, or someone you know, and there are questions about why it happened, you listen to that silence, thinking, wondering if you didn't listen carefully enough to what they were trying to tell you, or if there was something that you missed.

Wairarapa had more than double the national rate of suicide - AGAIN! This is the fourth year in a row that Wairarapa has recorded the highest rates of self harm in New Zealand. Wairarapa had a rate of 162.3 people hospitalised for self-harm for every 100,000 people in 2010, according to figures released today, over twice the national rate of 66 per 100,000. New Zealand has some of the highest rates of suicide in the world, and has consistently had one of the highest rates for years - it's a matter that gives cause for national shame, it's unnecessary and in most cases it's preventable, and being caused by the very people we are funding to prevent it, who are not performing.  Authorities are not interested in investigating complaints from consumers, they are focused on covering up incompetence and corruption and maintaining the status quo.  Ignorance is the art of ignoring things.  This is the cost of that ignorance, the violence, crime, child abuse, addiction and suicide, which are all so prevalent in the Wairarapa.

Bullying in schools starts with the Board of Trustees bullying the suicide prevention initiatives like Friends of Caring Kiwi Communities and the Let's Get Growing NZ program, and this matter illustrates well the conspiracy involving local police, who lied to the Board of Trustees of the South End School in Carterton, who in turn lied to the police - indisputable evidence of these claims is at the link and much more is available to doubters - leave a comment and it will be provided.

Chief Coroner Judge Neil MacLean released provisional annual suicide statistics for the year ending 30 June 2012 today, and some of his comments on this disgraceful and shameful national record. Good on Judge Neil MacLean for speaking up!

This is the third year Judge MacLean has made the annual suicide statistics available, and tried to encourage New Zealanders to address this problem, identify it, name it, talk about it, and take constructive and effective action to stop it and prevent it. Judge MacLean says we are going backwards, not forwards, and that indicates that the current methods of dealing with the problem are not working. I can certainly attest to that!

In the past year the total number of suicides was 547. The average number of suicides for each of the past five years is 543.

Of particular concern is the 15 to 19-year-old age group, which, at 37, was almost double the average of the previous four years.

"I am concerned that we seem to be making no impact (on youth suicide rates), there's no visible downward trend at all," Judge MacLean, said.

"Other ethnic groups remain much the same - Asian Pacifica, non-Maori - but the Maori statistics, that's concerning."

Suicides in the 15 to 19-year-old age group were up from 56 in 2010-11 to 80 in 2011-12.

Shockingly, the report records a suicide among the five to nine-year-old age group, and apparently there have been two suicides in this age group in the last year but the other one is apparently not included in Judge MacLean's report due to a discrepancy between the two sets of figures (Coronial Services and Ministry of Health, more on this below).

It is the youngest suicide case the Ministry of Justice's Coronial Services Unit (CSU) has dealt with since comprehensive records began in 2007.

The Coronial Services Unit suicide figures for 2010 differ from Ministry of Health figures released last month. There are several reasons for this. The classification system used by the Ministry of Health to code underlying cause of death is not strictly comparable with the system used by CSU to assign 'intent'. CSU data includes active cases before Coroners where intent has yet to be conclusively established. This means that the CSU figures include deaths that may eventually be found not to be suicides. In addition, Ministry of Health figures are recorded by calendar year.

Over the past year, the number of Maori suicides have increased across most age groups. NZ is going backwards in this disgraceful and shameful blight on our society.

The Mental Health Foundation Suicide Prevention Information NZ has links to other reports on their website, unfortunately they are out of touch with what's really going on and instead of addressing the real problems in the Wairarapa community (which regularly has around twice the national average of suicide, ) of injustice and police corruption, and systemic bullying and abuse, they promote police propaganda instead. One of the major concerns shared by many friends and family of suicide victims (and others in the community) in the Wairarapa is the message "talk to someone", and the role of the police in dealing with suicides and victims of violence, abuse, and bullying, and the way the policy of "information sharing" is being implemented. I can personally confirm that many of the corrupt and incompetent Wairarapa police actually encourage suicide and support people like Julian Tyerman, who encouraged me to commit suicide on a bullying website he built in my name, all the posts except one have since been removed by Tyerman, but not before I copied and pasted his sickening comments - the police of course refuse to charge him with offensive language or anything else (there are a number of charges that would apply to the material Tyerman published). When you consider that Tyerman's own brother committed suicide, you realise just how sick he is and why he should be charged.

The police have been under investigation for around five years regarding the discovery of systemic concealment and destruction of hundreds of child abuse complaints. When victims of violence, abuse and bullying try and pluck up the courage to speak up, only a fraction manage to find that courage and do so, and when the police compound the problem by reabusing the victim and protecting the offender, it's not hard to work out the results. The victims learn a lesson and are discouraged from speaking up, and the offenders are empowered. There is definitely a link between incompetence and corruption within the local police and 'community agencies' and the outrageous local suicide rates.

There is not just one cause of suicide, there are many, every one is unique, although there are many things in common, and many identifiable causes - and solutions. Factors such as poverty and unemployment drive many suicides, abuse and bullying are common causes, inappropriate medication and other 'treatment', a sense of hopelessness and injustice. Poor self esteem and boredom are common factors in some. All these things can be changed.

Friends of Caring Kiwi Communities is working to establish a united network of Community Resource Centre and Community Gardens to strengthen Kiwi communities in practical and constructive ways, and address the real problems in our communities as individuals instead of a one size fits all approach. We had a real Community Centre in Carterton, and community gardens, until they were taken over by a group of individuals who were mainly associated with the District Council, a major funder of the Centre. They transformed a great community resource into a cash cow for themselves, despite the obvious conflicts of interest, before being forced to close it down when other funders became aware of what was going on. The Councillors and their mates then obtained another few million dollars and built an 'Event Centre', which they use to spread propaganda rather than provide resources and facilitate constructive and inclusive dialogue.

Local initiatives generally operate for the benefit of the people running them rather than the clients, and the standard of the people running them leaves a lot to be desired, and is an insult to the clients in many cases, with many of the people running these organisations having been in the positions for far too long, and they only maintain the positions by excluding people from their AGMs and other meetings by the use of trespass notices, etc, as the committee of the Carterton Community Centre and local Council, etc did. Siobahn Garlick, the manager of 'New Directions' doesn't seem to know the difference between "loonies and alcoholics" - what an insult to mental health patients or anyone suffering from depression! Vulnerable people in our community need a FOCKCer Community Resource Centre and Community Gardens, NOT the insult to the intelligence currently being provided by they myriad of ineffective 'community organisastions' flourishing under such ridiculous community leaders as Georgina Beyer, Gary McPhee and Ron Mark! These so called 'community leaders' are adding to the problem - not solving it! Kiwi kids deserve better than this - we all do! (To be continued).

Many corrupt police support the actions of their mates in the 'community agencies', and promote their policy of illegal and destructive information sharing with these people.

We're always hearing "we need more resources" - well we don't. What we need is some accountability regarding how our taxpayer and ratepayer funds are being wasted! Look at how much money was wasted locking me up in a secure facility for the criminally insane, with people convicted of murder and manslaughter, after a corrupt 'psychiatrist', Brenda Sally Rimkeit, and a few of her equally corrupt colleagues, conspired to label me with "Delusional Disorder" for raising awareness regarding the corruption and incompetence of many of the local police officers, and locked me up for months, for criticising local police for very good reasons supported with indisputable evidence (not to mention all the money wasted on the campaign of malicious and vexatious charges brought against me).

This money was wasted on a person who didn't have a mental illness (and Rimkeit and her colleagues knew this perfectly well), while there are hundreds if not thousands of New Zealanders who are desperately in need of those resources!

What a chilling insight that was into how mental health patients are treated in this country too! Medication is the order of the day, it's all I was offered - my "Treatment Plan" states that I am not to be given writing materials, paper etc, no mail in or out, no phone calls in or out, no visitors - what kind of "treatment" is that?! That's no t'treatment' - that's plain sadistic corruption! Local mental health 'services' are an absolute disgrace, as evidenced by the link above to the 'New Directions' managers! Talk about the Emperor's new clothes!

There is evidence on the information I have received that there were a number of and untrue statements and allegations used to detain me illegally in the two mental health facilities, including claims that I had attempted suicide, and made lots of unwarranted complaints to police "when she previously lived in Wellington" according to the local constable. I have never attempted suicide, and that's why there is no evidence of that anywhere, and I made no complaints to police whatsoever when I previously lived in Wellington, not one.

The point is that the treatment for this alleged disorder was medication. Dangerous, strong medication intended for 'illnesses' I did not have. I was forcibly injected if I refused to take the pills, and what happened to me should ring alarm bells in the mind of every right thinking person, because if it can happen to me it can happen to anyone, and it's happening right here in New Zealand, it's taxpayer funded corruption on a massive scale.

The same police who are under investigation for covering up hundreds of child abuse cases and refusing to investigate them and lying about it - and then being promoted for that, are persecuting innocent people and wasting millions of dollars of taxpayer funds pursuing personal vendettas and actually covering up crime. When you examine the collusion and conspiracy of the other parties, the scale and magnitude of the problem becomes apparent, as do the implications.

Boredom and poor self esteem are two of the most common elements which contribute to depression (along with poverty and injustice). FOCKCer Community Resource Centres and Community Gardens, including gardens in schools address these issues constructively, as well as having other obvious benefits. Local journalists ignore the bullying going on regarding the local community gardens and the South End School garden, while promoting their friends' initiatives, which are often nothing more than an excuse to misappropriate large amounts of public funding. Let's Get Growing NZ and FOCKCer school gardens teach kids to grow their own kai, not just expect a handout. Handouts are OK, but teaching kids to grow and prepare their own kai addresses boredom, improves confidence and self esteem, and helps eliminate boredom - it's a wonderful thing - like eating lots of fresh organic fruit and vegetables, and doing physical work outside, it's not rocket science, but it can certainly lead to it :)

The gardens need tending over the summer, and the FOCKCers holiday program provide consistent care of the school gardens over the holidays, as well as holiday programs, including first aid courses, music tuition, art workshops, bicycle maintenance lessons, and a suggestion box for the inclusion of other activities of interest to the communities, the possibilities are endless. There's a lot of unemployment, but there's a lot of skilled people who can help teach those skills to others. We do Pet Therapy too, interacting with animals is very therapeutic indeed, and much more fun than just medication.

We need to get rid of the people running the failing 'community services' and support the ones with proven success - Friends of Caring Kiwi Communities (the FOCKCers) works to put the unity back in our communities, through the Let's Get Growing NZ program and Transparency NZ, establishing community resource centres and community gardens in every community, encouraging everyone to grow their own food, establishing gardens in schools and programs using gardening to teach a wide variety of life skills, including suicide prevention skills, and provide a safe environment to talk with people trained to respond appropriately and provide practical and effective support according to the needs of the individual.

5:30 am Thursday the 6th September, it's just been reported that Gabrielle Meyrick has died, aged just 17, in Masterton, last Sunday. Kiwi kids deserve better than this.

Judge Maclean said suicide had to be brought out of the shadows and he was worried by the increases in certain demographics.

"I am concerned that we seem to be making no impact - there has been no visible downward trend at all. Our job is to tell the public the facts - I am no more qualified to suggest an answer or a solution than anyone.

"Part of the problem is there are so many agencies who have something to contribute - it does need to be coordinated and pulled together.

"My hunch is there is a link. People don't commit suicide because they're poor, it's because they feel utterly at the end of their tether, but it doesn't help if you've got no money."

He's spot on about all the useless and uncoordinated community agencies! They are creating problems, not solving them! They don't provide advocacy - they might provide an extremely limited amount of it but the fact is that none of the agencies or organisations operating locally provide advocacy and there is a huge amount of correspondence documenting that, much of it on this site.

They're all focussed on the funding, not their clients. Friends of Caring Kiwi Communities is all about co-ordination, we put the unity back in our communities, and help everyone pull together. We ensure services are focussed on needs, and that money's not wasted on the same old people and their 'community organisations' that benefit the people running them - not the clients. 'An ageing society that doesn't care for it's young has a death wish' is how Dame Anne Salmond describes it. ('There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way it treats its children' - Nelson Mandela). We need support - we don't just have bullying in schools, we have bullies RUNNING the schools, serious, blatant incompetence and corruption, and nobody is doing anything about it, none of the government agencies who are supposed to, not the Police, the IPCA or the Ombudsmen, none of them. Transparency NZ is exposing them for what they are, and taking constructive action to prevent suicide through a community garden program, establishing gardens in schools and trained facilitators, and together with the FOCKCers and Let's Get Growing NZ, we're making a difference, and we need support.

The message being given to kids at risk is "Talk to someone" - the problem is that the people you get to talk to in the Wairarapa are incompetent and corrupt, and in many cases they are the very people perpetrating the abuse, and they've been doing it for years - Barry Taylor refused to engage with the people who mattered, other so called 'experts' are nothing more than attention seeking idiots. People like this are causing more harm than good! What these people think the community organisations are doing is so far removed from reality it's an insult to the people in need of help around here!

Kiwi kids deserve better than this, they deserve Friends of Caring Kiwi Communities, notNARK, not New Directions, or any of those other 'initiatives' where the staff are more worried about their own jobs and their funding than they are about their clients. We provide real services to the community, we aim to establish community resource centres and community gardens - practical resources that clients and consumers urgently need, as well as advocacy, Pet Therapy, tuition in a range of life skills and extra curricular activities, people to talk to who care, and who are trained to take effective and appropriate action when required, and provide effective and appropriate support.  We aim to put the Unity back into our commUnities, and assist all vulnerable, at risk, low income, less advantaged people in particular to establish gardens, fruit trees, vegetable patches, and learn to grow their own food, prepare it, cook it, preserve it, trade it and eat it.  By establishing gardens in the schools and child care centres we enrich the lives of children in so many ways, we provide a big basket of fruit and big pot of soup (and porridge if needed)  Kids as young as eight are being treated for anorexia. Another reason for gardens in schools and healthy eating programs and healthy relationships with food.

A 25 year old was killed yesterday after being struck by a train, police say it was a deliberate act.  We've got used to seeing headlines like this on a regular basis, it's unacceptable and unnecessary.

Instead of providing support, local police and mental health workers are perpetrating gross injustices and abuses on vulnerable people and perverting the course of justice - it's no coincidence that the National Business Review reported that "there is an alarming amount of bribery in New Zealand."  It's blatantly obvious in the Wairarapa and the wider Wellington region.  Transparency inNew Zealand encourages anyone who believes they have been treated corruptly or unjustly to document their experience and unite with our interactive community news network and other shared resources to establish community resource centres and community gardens that operate in the interests of safe and healthy communities - we can no longer tolerate a society where the message given to suicidal people or potentially suicidal people is "Talk to someone" when we ignore the fact that the very people paid to listen are not doing so and no action is being taken regarding the evidence that local police have been promoted for covering up child abuse and no constructive action has been taken whatsoever, and victims of crime are being harassed, abused, bullied and treated sadistically and callously by local police.  Talk to someone?  Talk to the world - leave a comment, email me, start a blog of your own and publish indisputable evidence of corruption and start your own local branch of Transparency NZ, making Official Information Act requests and Privacy Act requests, and helping others to do the same, and share information constructively, in the public interest and in the interests of justice.

ACC Minister Judith Collins wants the state insurer to start sacking staff who breach a new

"zero tolerance" policy on privacy breaches.

A furious Ms Collins has revealed her astonishment at the failure of ACC to include privacy among nine of its "top priorities".

"They have to act in the way that I expect them to act. When I go around the branches, most of the people there absolutely understand it.

"But, actually, a few are letting them down and when we have things like the audit and risk committee having nine priorities for the year and not one of them [being] privacy, how can that be acceptable given everything else that's going on?"

Ms Collins' comments come as figures from ACC show 11 staff members have been reprimanded over "serious misconduct" since 2010.

The breaches involved: theft; fraud against ACC or a claimant; serious misuse of ACC property, including information and systems; dishonesty; disobeying a lawful and reasonable instruction from a manager; and any act that had the potential to bring ACC into disrepute.

Meanwhile, in some parallel universe, Paula Bennett is boasting that in spite of the recent ruling by the Human Rights Commission that she breached the privacy of Natasha Fuller when she revealed details of her benefit to the media.

"Labour leader David Shearer called on the minister to apologise, but Bennett said she would not say sorry.

"It's three years later, the letter has been done, we've all decided to move on," she said. "I certainly respect her request for privacy now and that the media aren't hounding her. So I want to show a degree of respect for that."

Greens co-leader Metiria Turei said it was a serious concern for Prime Minister John Key that Bennett was refusing to apologise or rule out releasing private details in the future.

"Beneficiaries have a right to privacy, they are entitled to their personal dignity and they shouldn't have a minister who is prepared to breach that and to interfere with their dignity just because she disagrees with what she says."

All beneficiaries were now at risk if they spoke out, she said.

"Paula Bennett will go into your personal files and use that information to attack you in public."

Saying the Commission had made an opinion was "just weasel words".

Shearer said Fuller was abused by Bennett.

"It was wrong, she should apologise, not just say she regrets it."

Ewen Macdonald, his brother, and the Clown prosecutor:

Hot on the heels of the Urewera fiasco and the Kim Dotcom circus, Clown prosecutor Ben Vanderkolk has stage managed the prosecution of Ewen Macdonald to make sure that the jury only got to hear half the facts.

It's been revealed that Ewen Hyde had a long history of deliberate and premeditated criminal activity, much of it malicious and violent and aimed directly at Scott and Kylee Guy, such as the graffiti he sprayed on their home saying "fucken bitch slapper", "you cheating whore, what comes around, goes around'', "stay away from him Kylee, you whore'', and "now you know how it feels to lose something you love''.(sic). Given that Macdonald has admitted this, and said he did it for fun, why has there been no request to have him examined by a psychiatrist, he is clearly psychopathic and a danger to other people!  It's now been revealed that Macdonald bashed 19 calves to death with a hammer. This behaviour is not normal - what's wrong with the Clown prosecutors and the police, just accepting this and not questioning his sanity - unbelievable that the corrupt police and their corrupt mates at the Court can conspire to lock me up for three months for alleging I'm a danger to myself instead of arresting the REAL criminals, but nobody seems to see anything wrong with Ewen Macdonald's mental health . . .

December 30, 2006: Ewen Macdonald killed two trophy stags on Craig Hocken's Feilding property.

August 9, 2007: Intentionally destroyed 16,000 litres of milk at Graham Sexton's farm at Himatangi.

August 9, 2007: Intentionally killed calves causing loss to farmer Paul Barber at Foxton.

March 21, 2008: Damaged a duck-shooting whare belonging to Graham Sexton.

October 24, 2008: Damaged an old house by fire on Scott and Kylee Guy's property in Feilding.

January 30, 2009: Vandalism of Scott and Kylee Guy's new home in Feilding.

July 8, 2010: Scott Guy shot dead at the end of his driveway in the early hours of the morning.

April 7, 2011: Ewen Macdonald arrested for murder.

September 2011: Callum Boe convicted of arson, vandalism, etc, and sentenced to two years imprisonment.

June 5, 2012: Trial begins in the High Court at Wellington. Macdonald is acquitted a month later.

June 21, 2012: Anna Guy gives evidence regarding her "surprising Callum Boe and Ewen Macdonald" on the family farm.

August 2, 2012: Suppression order regarding the other charges is lifted.

August 6, 2012: It is revealed that Callum Boe is already out of prison.

September 14, 2012: Macdonald to be sentenced in the High Court at Palmerston North on six remaining charges - the same charges that Boe was convicted and imprisoned for last year - Macdonald should have been jointly charged at that time with those offences!

The only reason Boe was not called to give evidence, and that the previous history or RELEVANT criminal violence directed specifically at Scott and Kylee Guy was hidden is because Clown prosecutor Ben Vandervolk exercised his personal discretion and conspired with his mates to make sure that the jury and the Court didn't hear about it - which amounts to a criminal conspiracy to pervert the course of justice in my opinion (and that of many others).

Ewen Macdonald's brother is a Wellington police detective, the corruption and incompetence of the New Zealand police is legendary - staff refer to police national headquarters as "Bullshit Castle".   It appears very likely that a combination of a police investigation aimed at making sure that no evidence was found, and a Clown prosecutor who conspired with the police to pervert the course of justice, has resulted in his acquittal for cold blooded, premeditated murder. Justice in NZ comes down to how much money you've got and who your mates are.

Macdonald lied and lied, over and over again, living a lie, like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.  How many other women are living with monsters like Ewen Macdonald? Apparently "respectable" blokes, how many monsters lkike this are on school Boards of Trustees - as Macdonald was?  How many women, like his wife, just accept stories about little "night missions" with "mates" like Callum Boe?

The suppression order regarding the other charges was supposed to be lifted when Macdonald appeared in the Palmerston North District Court for a callover on Tuesday 31 July 2012, but were continued by the district court judge, who declined jurisdiction to sentence Macdonald.

He will now be sentenced by the High Court later this year - a sentencing date will likely be set when he next appears in court on September 14.

The news report dated 6 August 2012 shows that despite being sentenced to two years jail last September, Callum Boe is out already - less than 12 months later - what an insult to justice!

Ewen Macdonald is a ticking time bomb. The arson and vandalism were committed "for retribution" after Macdonald and Boe were caught poaching Samba deer and were trespassed from the farms. Retribution for the fact that Macdonald and Boe were caught in the act committing crimes, not retribution for any OTHER act - it's not retribution, it's extreme psychopathic behaviour and Macdonald has never been subjected to a psychiatric examination - nobody thought it necessary to ask for one, but I think there is clear evidence of a serious mental illness and one which presents a clear and indisputable danger to the public!

Andrew Hoggard, Federated Farmers Manawatu-Rangitikei provincial president, said Macdonald's actions were "inexplicable".  What a funny word to use.  I'd say Macdonald needs to be locked up in a secure mental asylum for what are clearly deranged and dangerous thought processes and extreme behaviour.  Normal people do not commit such acts of purely malevolent destructive atrocity - he's admitted to it - but the video of that admission is extremely chilling, watch how off hand he is about it, how little he cares, how casual he is, almost thinks it's a joke by the look of it.  His matey relationship with the police is evidence also.

"We genuinely thought crimes like this were committed by some low-life toe-rag who'd never worked a decent day in their life. It is a real shock to discover MacDonald has admitted to what are acts of sabotage"  said Hoggard.  

How many other "respectable" "pillars of the community", "award winning farmers" and members of Boards of Trustees are living lives that are lies? How many of them are malicious and psychopathic bullies?  Ray Craig certainly is and so was Gavin Kennedy, both of the South End School Board of Trustees, and involved in the ongoing bullying and corruption that saw a Statutory Manager appointed last year, and the resignation of the former principal Rod O'Leary after O'Leary lied about the employment of me and of another staff member, and conspired with the Board to sack us over deliberately false allegations and further the political careers of their mates. Ray Craig is also thick as thieves with corrupt local Constable Stephen Wakefield, his son Constable Michael Wakefield, and the other corrupt local cops, who are conspiring to cover up the epidemic of child abuse by throwing hundreds of files in the rubbish bin and lying about it.

Macdonald had committed a large number of serious crimes, ALL of which the local police had failed to charge him with, after Boe confessed, they had no choice.

The so called investigation into the Wairarapa child abuse cover up has not involved anyone from the so called 'investigation team' interviewing Det Sgt Mark McHattie, the ringleader of the corruption, the one who threw hundreds of files in the rubbish bin and lied "Hand on my heart" they'd been "resolved".

McHattie and his mate, Area Commander Jack Johnston, have both been promoted instead of charged and imprisoned. - What kind of 'investigation' doesn't interview the main offender, the ringleader? A CORRUPT ONE! This so called investigation has been sucking up taxpayer's money for YEARS - feeding the pigs on the gravy train, with their snouts in the trough, while the media and the politicians and the middle classes spin out their attacks on "some low-life toe-rag who'd never worked a decent day in their life" and other attacks on "beneficiaries", "dope smokers", "Maoris" and other social groups.

Most chilling of all is the glimpse into the mind of someone who committed these atrocities just because he could.  Ewen Macdonald had everything; a beautiful wife and a lovely family, a guaranteed future that was very rosy indeed. But he just couldn't stop himself. The blood lust of men who poach stags for trophies, like he did, is unfathomable, never mind the blood lust it took to even think up the idea of killing nineteen calves with a hammer - never mind actually carry it out!   I'd kill an animal for food if I had to, but that's not what Ewen Macdonald and Callum Boe were doing on their little "missions", they were engaged in sheer mindless violence, and destruction, theft, deceit, lies, etc.  The video interview where Macdonald admits the crimes Boe had already confessed to shows that Macdonald thought the whole thing was a bit of a joke.

He joined the Board of Trustees of the local school AFTER murdering Scott Guy apparently, which suggests a degree of arrogance as well as a lack of remorse that is deeply disturbing. The landowners pointed the finger at Macdonald, who originally denied it, but then he said it was "just that easy" and their property was not the only one he had been poaching on.  I guess it is all rather easy when you're such good mates with the local cops.

The motivation behind Macdonald and Boe’s crimes was revealed in September when Boe appeared in Queenstown District Court and was sentenced to two years’ jail for his offending. He served less than twelve months and was out before Ewen Macdonald's even been sentenced for the same crime.

The details of that appearance were suppressed until this week.

This looks like a blatant case of perverting the course of justice. George Gwaze was tried twice, so why can't Ewen Macdonald be retried? I know which one I tend to think is guiltier.

Lawyers - above the law? Looks like it!

We knew it would finally come to light. It seems the corrupt old boy lawyers in New Zealand are dying off at too great of pace for the new crop to replace them. In the past, Attorney General Chris Finlayson has spoken publicly about his difficulty in finding lawyers in New Zealand willing to take judicial appointments.

The queen maker need not worry.

It was reported yesterday that a recent law graduate was found guilty of perverting the course of justice by fronting a shill to take a paternity test for her 2-year old in order to have the true father's name removed from the birth certificate.

Crown prosecutor Claire Robertson said imprisonment was usually warranted for such a crime, but did not seek it in this case because it might impede the woman becoming a lawyer - and maybe a judge some day. The lawyer-to-be was given permanent name suppression by the court. New Zealand Law Society general manager regulatory Mary Ollivier was reported as saying a criminal conviction would not stop someone becoming a registered lawyer. And because of the name suppression order, no one would know.

Judge David Wilson stated he could "understand" the woman's motivation but not excuse the "lengths" she went to.

A Family Court judge had picked up the discrepancy and reported the woman to police. The lawyer then asked DNA Diagnostics to destroy the samples she had falsified after another District Court Judge ordered new samples be taken and tested.

In an affidavit to the court, the woman claimed to live in fear of the biological father.

The father, who also has name suppression, said he was disappointed with the sentence of three months community service considering the extensive deception of the court by his former partner. He's not the only one!

Sophie-Maree Hunter:

On the same day as I was born, Sophie-Maree Hunter passed away.

Sophie was just two years old, she never got to see the world, or reach her potential.

There are currently two investigations underway into Sophie's death.

Sophie was taken to Whanganui Accident and Medical Clinic (WAM) on Monday 23rd July after her parents, Scott and Sarah Hunter, became concerned about her health after she developed a temperature and seemed unwell. Her parents were allegedly told her symptoms indicated a virus, and Sophie was asked to provide a urine sample. She was unable to do so at the clinic, but a sample was obtained and delivered to the clinic later that day.

Sophie's parents took her back to the clinic on Wednesday 25th, by which time her condition hadn't improved. They were told that the original urine sample had been lost. Sophie was asked to provide another one, but was again unable to do so, and after about two hours, she was again sent home.

On Saturday morning Sophie's condition was markedly worse, she was listless and appeared jaundiced. Her parents took her straight to Palmerston North hospital from Fielding where they were staying at the time with family. Blood tests were taken and Sophie was diagnosed with pneumonia. Her parents were told that the results of the blood tests would not be available for forty eight hours. She was wearing a breathing tube, sitting up and talking, but began vomiting. Her condition deteriorated quickly, her parents were told that septic shock had set in and her heart was failing. Staff worked to stabilise her as arrangements were made to fly her to Starship Hospital in Auckland. Her condition was extremely unstable, but there was no alternative, the staff at Palmerston North hospital worked frantically to save Sophie, but there was no more they could do there and the decision was made to try and get her to Starship as quickly as possible where there are specialised staff and equipment.

The plane never left the airfield, little Sophie's body had been through too much for too long and septic shock had set in. Her heart had already stopped for a time at the hospital earlier but the staff managed to resuscitate her, this time when her heart stopped they were unable to save her, despite their best efforts.

Thinking about Sophie's last hours, about what her mum and dad and the rest of her Family went through and are still going through, the medical staff involved, there are no words that can do Sophie and her Family justice. This is an utter tragedy and it seems to have been preventable.

Sophie never got to see the world, never got to grow up and fulfill her true potential.

Sophie deserved better than this. All Kiwi Kids deserve better than this.

There are inquiries underway by the Whanganui Primary Health Organisation and the Whanganui Coroners Office, they won't bring Sophie back.

Happy Birthday Flynn:

Flynn officially turns 30 today.

It was love at first sight years ago when we met. Flynn was given to me by our blacksmith Steve Nolan. He was pretty naughty alright, and some interesting behavioural problems, but he's always been a very kind horse. His behaviour problems were caused by fears mostly, and overcome by patience and kindness mostly.

Flynn loves children, always has. He was four years old when we got him, so was Lily. It was love at first sight. He's pretty much retired now, but he still likes to play with the little kids, they sit on him while he wanders around eating, he's a real asset to the community, providing pet therapy to lots of local kids and making them happy. Our community garden provides pet therapy as a sort of extension of Riding for the Disabled, only you don't have to be "disabled" as such, Pet Therapy builds confidence, compassion, empathy, and all sorts of positive virtues. It teaches kids about trust, relationships, patience, and all sorts of other things.

Happy Birthday to Brutus and Paddy too, and all the other horses whose birthday it is today :)
