The latest report on the South End School by the Education Review Office is as damning as the previous reports.
Following the appointment of professional bludger Ken Wilson as Statutory Manager a few years ago there has clearly been no improvement and things are sliding further down the slippery slope at the South End School, with yet another recommendation by the ERO to relieve the Board of Trustees of their duties under Part 7A of the Education Act 1989 because they clearly can't perform, and appoint another tax payer funded Statutory Manager - probably one just as willfully blind and condoning of blatant incompetence, corruption and prejudice as the previous one.
The Musical Chairs Merry Go Round approach to the public service is part of the problem and the total failure of most complaints mechanisms enables the scum to rise to the top, with huge collateral damage. The real problems at the South End School in Carterton have been ignored for far too long.
Ministry of Education damage control queen Katrina Casey formerly 'managed' the Department of Corrections in a similar manner to which she 'manages' the Education Ministry, covering up and enabling incompetence and corruption.
While well meaning but gullible folk 'March for Moko', they continue to turn a blind eye to what's going on right under their noses. The Board of Trustees of the South End School has been very dysfunctional for a very long time, while hundreds of thousands of dollars of taxpayers' money has been spent covering it up and allowing it to continue, while the government continues to pay lip service to the child abuse and other violent crime which continues to spiral out of control in our communities, while the media continue to mediate between the general population and reality.
